Gerflor Good Sports Awards

2008 will see sports fans around the world galvanised by the Beijing Olympic Games.

Here in Australia, schools and community recreation facilities will have a chance to create their own sporting stage by entering the Gerflor Good Sports Awards. One lucky school or community sports facility will win a multi-purpose indoor sports floor to the retail value of $50,000* just by sharing their story about one of the good sports in their school or club.

Nominations will be made by way of a written submission of not more than 500 words. The nominees can be an individual, a team, a coach or a supporter who deserves recognition for their performance, passion, commitment, leadership and or love of sport.

Broader interpretations in the spirit of a “good sport” will be welcomed.  The judges will be strongly influenced by the Olympic ideals – swifter, higher, stronger and most particularly the Olympic Creed.
