Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research

Installing hardwearing, resilient and easy-care flooring surfaces throughout the complex was a vital requirement for the Walter & Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI).

The project saw our specialists collaborating with some of the country’s major designers of laboratory spaces to achieve specific technical requirements across many areas of the building. Successful outcomes for the project were delivered with only minor challenges along the way.

New techniques were used to install the floor in one laboratory so as to provide buffers for trolley traffic passing through. Our highly durable, hygienic flooring, Taralay Premium, was also used to afford the necessary level of slip-resistance and easy maintenance demanded in the sensitive environment of WEHI.

Qualified installers are part of the Gerflor network, which is supported by start-of-the-art warehouse and logistic services.
